Got a surprise when I decided to check out the site for a review update - it was down. Not sure when it happened or for how long they'll be down, but if I get an update I'll post the details here. (As of April 24th, still down ... not looking good!)
ShowXStream Review
Smaller live webcam site with mostly single ladies and lesbian couples based out of Eastern Europe.
In order to create an account you'll have to deposit a minimum of $25 in your account. After registering and purchasing credits, login to see the chart showing how much time you have based on the per-minute rate charged by the cam host (ranging from $0.99/min. to $9.99/min.).
Unfortunately you can't tell what the performer rates are until you select Private Chat - it shows you the rate *before* you enter the room so you can accept/reject the show.
One oddity I noticed was that there were several different profiles that use the same photos in their gallery - obviously, it's the same lady/couple with 2 unique usernames! What doesn't help is that some of the performers use "stock" photos for their main profile photo - and even in their gallery!
Private chat rooms offer 2-way cams so the performers can see you - just click the "Send My Cam" button under the chat screen. There is also a Favourites option, but with relatively few models you probably won't need it!
One other issue I had was that some performers don't respond - even in Private Chat! As an example, I went into a Free Chat room with a lesbian couple and it seemed I was alone with the ladies - so a simple "hello". Nothing. Asked a standard question. Nothing. Asked if she wanted to go Private. Nothing! Maybe they just wanted to chat with their friends and smoke cigarettes ... Either that or the text chat wasn't working!
Anyway, in Private Chat with one lesbian couple I noticed only one visible - until I saw the other laying behind her, sleeping. I felt bad asking to wake her up, but I was paying! No wonder this is only $0.99/minute ... To make matters worse, the video (which wasn't that great quality to begin with) froze. I re-entered the chat room with no luck as well as a few others - none worked.

There are some real cuties here and if you prefer lesbian action, there seems to always be a few available. However, as mentioned above, you get what you pay for: At $0.99/minute I was treated to non-responsive camhosts, some sleeping, and not overly attentive. My feeling is that for some of these performers, this is more of a chore versus some that truly seem like they enjoy performing (and of course, many do!) |
