The PurityCams site is brought to you by the company that owns ClubXLive. This live cam site features mostly studio-based, single-lady camhosts. The prices are quite competitive for private shows at PurityCams, starting at $1.99 per minute with peek shows available.
PurityCams Review
PurityCams offers free video (without text) with no registration required. In order to access the video and text chat or private chat the membership is free; However, you will need a valid, non-public (Hotmail, etc.) e-mail address as they require validation (a little annoying for those who only have a shared "family" account, for example!) Also note that if you have an account at their sister site, ClubXLive, it will work here as well.
As this site is relatively quiet - that is, not a lot of visitors - you can often chat 1-on-1 with most performers in the group chat area. If you get annoyed with over-crowded public chat rooms, you'll enjoy the relative peace here.
PurityCam Rates
Private video chat seems to range from $1.99 to $2.49/minute for most performers - a pretty competitive price. In order to enter a private show you need to pre-purhase time in bulk from $30 (approx. 15 minutes) to $150 (approx. 75 minutes).
Each performer has a simple bio page with their private show rate, info, preferences and links to their cam gallery, which are simply snapshots from their recent shows. Would be nice if they had archived video clips as well!
Hotlist
A nice feature is the hotlist which allows you to add a performer to your personal PurityCams "Favourites". The link to add is under each profile on the main page and to access your favourites list, just click the link in the top navigation. You will then be taken to a list of all performers you've added with indicators to show if they are online. If you have many favourites you can great a group to manage them all.
The Customer Service section is basic with links to support contacts (e-mail) as well as options to change your screen name or password.
Live Shows
Yes, of course, the most important part! Overall, the video chat console and quality is about average among video chat sites. They use a Jave applet with a fairly cool text channel. Most performers seem to be in a studio and are moderately enthusiastic about chatting for free. Remember, they are there to make money so don't expect "handouts" (read: free nude shows) in the public chat!
Lastly, they don't seem to have performers sorted into categories but thankfully, most of the online performers are on the main page. If you're looking for couples there are a few as well as single guys, but I'm not sure about lesbian or fetish shows.

Should I bother mentioning it? Okay, yes, PurityCams features mostly European ladies which is no different than 90% of the other cam sites. As mentioned above, you can often get a girl alone in the public chat to get to know her a bit and ask about what kind of show you can expect. From what I saw, the ladies weren't pushy and would answer you, but not overly friendly - most waited for me to talk instead of, for example, saying "hi". |
