Titled City of Lustonia, this hybrid video chat and dating site is themed as a virtual online community. The concept is that you can chat as well as meet performers via an online email system and supported Instant Messengers.

I should first provide a caveat: This review of Lustonia is incomplete. Unfortunately, I can't report on the actual video quality in shows or the value as I've been unable to actually get into a chat! The site explains how to enter a video chat room and from following the directions, I still can't! When you view the online performers a window pops up with an IRC chat room but there is no video and it seems the room is always empty. Hmm.
So back to the basics: The site offers free "teaser" chat or pay-per-view which requires you to purchase credits into your account. There are 2 main sections: The Live Cam Girls and Dating & Romance categories. Follow the link at the top of the page for Dating & Romance and you'll essentially see the same performers as in the Live Web Cams section. As well, there are links on the dating page to other dating sites. Why?
In the Live Cam Girls section there are links to many categories: Couples, fetish, S&M, transexuals, etc. but most categories seem to be empty. As well, the link to Video Archives takes to you a page of ads for - you guessed it - other video chat sites!
Lustonia offers an online mail account for you to send messages and manage contacts through an address book. The concept is that if you see a perfomer you like you visit their home page and send an email to the performer you want to chat with - I assume by appointment. Many performers also have ICQ and Yahoo Messenger links to send instant messages so you can contact them immediately if the IM icon indicates they are online.
On a technical note, the site seems to have some issues with Firefox browsers: The video chat popup window doesn't display the chat application, just page code. It seems to work in Internet Explorer fine, but again, it's just an empty IRC chat room.

Without being able to properly view a live video chat show, I'm saving any comments about performances until I have a chance to do so. There are some very attractive ladies and it seems like there are a handful online at any one time. |
