Overview
iFriends has had it's supporters and critics over the years but no one can argue they are the mother of community-based video chat sites. They constantly stretch the boundaries with new features like good ideas like TalkLive (see Review below) and occasionally, not so great ones ... like 3D video chat (is anyone on this site using it yet?).

First things first: There are a LOT of available camhosts on iFriends. Regardless of what time of day, you'll almost certainly find someone (or something) to your liking here. In fact, in can be overwhelming with so many performers - and you may find your wallet emptied very quickly if you get carried away.
One of the negatives of iFriends is they come of as somewhat misleading at times and have used fine print and negative-option checkboxes to lure customers into spending money. They seem to have cleaned that up a bit but I will advise you to READ everything carefully when you sign up!
Features
The new TalkLive feature is one of the hottest things on video chat sites. The idea is simple: Talk on the phone with the performer(s) while watching the video on your PC. Not only does it save on bandwidth, but those of you who have used PC-based mics or audio-enabled webcams will know just how poor the quality can be.
One of the most unique features at iFriends is their 3-D video chat option which allows you to watch selected performers using special PC 3D glasses like those available from 3DMediaLabs or EDimensional. Haven't tried that yet but I can just imagine the possibilities!
