AnyWebCam is easily one of the most visited webcam community sites on the Internet. As proof of it's popularity, this Australian-based site won that country's Adult Industry Award for Best Adult Website in 2003.
Unlike many sites reviewed here this is a true community site: The members are almost entirely home-based, non-professionals who engage in 2-way video chats with other site members (similar to AdultActionCam).
AnyWebCam Review
Comparing AnyWebCam to other video chat sites is difficult as it is a true community chat site - not a pay-per-view site where you are viewing amateur and professional camhosts. Having said that this review will focus on how it compares for those looking for "adult" video chat action.
The first time I visited AnyWebCam I was a bit confused by the navigation and layout, wondering "ok, where do I start?" There was a big blank, grey section on the left of the screen ... shortly, I realized that the site wasn't working with my Firefox browser. Switch to Internet Explorer ... much better.
I immediately signed up for the free membership and downloaded the broadcasting software (required to view cams or been seen on yours by other members). On my Windows XP system, it was a snap and very quick. The neat little window shows your login info, online status, buddies list, a preview of your cam and a list of who's watching your cam (see screen shot above).
I then browsed the list of people online and found about 50+ single ladies. So far, so good. Clicking through, I had a chance to see their profiles before viewing the cam but many do not have photos. I found myself basically clicking on each live cam until I found a lady (or two) I thought looked interesting.
The video quality competely depends on the connection speed, pc and camera of the member as well as your own, so the quality varies greatly.
In terms of the "talent", I didn't see too much eye candy here, a lot of overweight middle-aged women in lingerie ... if that's your thing, you're in heaven.
The site offers several levels of membership from free through Gold (see rates below). If you are first starting out and like what you see, try the Silver as it gives you many of the Gold features at almost half the price. Upgrade to Gold when/if you become a serious chatter.

From the short time I spent on the site I concluded that this is definetly a site for those looking for a virtual relationship: It's not intended so much for "live strip shows" or online dating, it's somewhere in between. I'd say it's great for voyeurs who want to watch other couples or singles without the pay-per-minute charges of an adult video chat site.
As stated above, I found a lot of "BBWs" and though that personally isn't my thing, if you are into the amateur niche then there is definite potential for you here.
Note that the membership here is very heavy for USA, Canada and Australia; There are relatively very few European, South American or Asian members.
